Umunna - Michael Gove must accept Brexit has made our NHS worse off

Commenting on Michael Gove's 'promise' to spend £200 million more a week on the NHS, Chuka Umunna MP, Chair of Vote Leave Watch, said:

"Michael Gove told us to ignore the experts before the referendum, and now he tells us to sit up and look at the OBR figures.

"If he has started listening to the experts again, he must accept the OBR's judgement that the Brexit cause he championed will hit growth, flatten wages, increase inflation, increase unemployment, and leave a £57.8bn black hole in our public finances.

"To add insult to injury, he has even cut Vote Leave's pledge of extra funding for the NHS from £150 million a week to £200 million a week in the hope that no one would notice. £350 million was on the bus, and £350 million is what the British people expect."
